Are you worthy of a successful business? I wasn’t.
I was on a roll. I was sending out emails, making sales, being productive and then it all came to a screeching halt. These past 2 weeks have been a roller coaster of fun (and not so much fun) but I’ve come out the other side a completely different person.
Why?
Because now I believe I am 100% worthy of achieving my dreams. Before, I didn’t believe I was truly worthy of having the things I wanted and making the money I wanted. I knew something was missing in my subconscious, and now I know what it is. My self-worth.
Some people call it self-love, or self-esteem but those are entirely different stories.
My self-love was at an all time high. I used to hate myself and think I was this monster trapped inside a little girl’s body. But I’ve worked really hard on learning to love myself over the past few years. And now I can honestly say I really love who I am as a person. (Can you?)
My self-esteem has skyrocketed too. Self-esteem is basically how much you believe in yourself and I didn’t at all. I believed I basically was as good as a rock, which means I was good for nothing. Now I believe I am awesome and I can achieve whatever I set my mind too.
The last piece to the puzzle was my self-worth, which was also in the toilet, but it’s now sitting pretty. I believed I was worth nothing, that I didn’t deserve anything good. To be honest, I believed I wasn’t even worth living. Now that will really put a damper on your life! But now I truly believe I am worthy of living an amazing life and having all the wonderful things I want.
How do these relate to running a business? Let me share.
With self-love, if you don’t love yourself, other people can smell it a mile away and so they won’t love you either. Basically if you don’t love yourself, your clients or customers won’t either and they won’t buy from you. When I worked hard on my self-love and I finally did love myself, that’s when I went from being invisible to actually making friends online. And then those friends bought from me!
With self-esteem, if you don’t believe in yourself and your products and services, no one else will either. You can try your hardest to sell your stuff, but it won’t fly off the shelves. When I was doing book coaching, I didn’t believe in my ability to help people get published or my course that I offered. And guess what? It was a struggle to sell. I sold one spot before giving up on it for a YEAR! But after I worked on my self-esteem and I began really believing in myself, I sold 10 spots to my course in a span of a couple months. And then when I switched to doing Instagram marketing (something I was REALLY confident in), that’s when things started really clicking.
With self-worth, if you don’t believe you are worthy, you won’t take the right actions to get to where you want to be. You will self-sabotage (I’m the queen of self-sabotage but now I’m abdicating my throne, thank you very much. Plus I’ve been watching too much of The Royals, my typical sabotage pattern). You also won’t charge what you are worth, which is something I’ve been so guilty of.
Which is why I’m raising the price of my Instagram course to match what it’s really worth. It is currently at $50, but I am raising it to $99 at the end of November. So if you have been on the fence about purchasing my course, now is the time to do it because now that I know I’m worthy, it will never be that low again.
And if you really want to make your business soar, you have to work on all three parts. It’s the only way you are going to succeed.
